12-30-31Dearest Alice,
I received your good letter this P.M and was pleased to hear from you.
I have a pair of pillow cases for you and Lawrence and I hope you like them, it is just a little hard to know about sizes but hope they aint to large for your pillows.
I hope you had a nice Christmas, I had a ver nice Christmas, seemed very lonesime with Gilbert gone for he always was with me that day for the last ten years before -
Every time I turned around I would think of him and when I sat down to eat. I could hardly eat for a few minutes.
Alice, I received many very nice Gifts, and your I do appreciate so much for I do like a nice clean hat brush that isnt used on clothing to brush my hats and I do thank you very much.
Mary and Clifford sent Doctor and I a pyrex dish, something I have wanted for a long time just fits a silver casserle I have. I always before used a porcelain pan but how much nicer the pyrex dish will be for I scopple so many different things.
Doctor gave me a real fox fur. I sure am happy over that and too I needed a fur for my coat as it hasnt fur on it.
I called your Dad soon as I read your letter told him you returned home OK.Yes Alice I have a sister living there in Pawnee City. She lives on the highway going east out of pawnee. the 3rd house not a very large house on the south side of the road going into town. Her name is Howard, her husbands name is Fred.
They stopped here on their way down home. I told Lottie you was living up there. She has a big fat sweet baby. He just sits and laughs.
Alice call Lottie up over the ????? I know she would be glad to have you come over. And I know you kids would like both Lottie and Fred.
Well Alice I am just about to run down. I received a big box of this stationary for Christmas enough to last me till 1932.
I am mailing you your package this evening.
Lots and Lots of love from
Mickey
